SILVER REFINING PLANT Working principles Electrolysis is a technological process that utilise the electric energy generated from a current rectifier. The metal to be deposited (in this case pure Silver) is dissolved by an electrolytic bath called nitrate. The anodes to be refined are composed of basic scrap silver alloys. The cathode are stainless still made. By means of a proper electromotive force and the characteristic of the electrolytic bath, discharged into the solution by the anodes, the silver migrate from anode to solution, then from solution to cathode. Once the operation is over, the silver deposited is melted and prepared for the following working phases. This process is selective for noble metals, thus when operation is over, the cathode will carry only an elevated fineness silver crystallised deposit: over 99,9%. Productivity must be considered during 24 hours per day, and according the number of anodes inserted on the electrolytic cells and following these process steps: 1. Melting of the anodes (morning) 2. Cathodes scratching 3. Recovery of fine silver crystals from the bottom of the cells 4. Electrolytic bath analysis and maintenance 5. Change of dissolved anodes 6. After correction of electrolytic bath, set the right current level 7. Live the plant working all night long Following the customer request we can offer ours professional electrolytic Silver refining plants with production cap. from 6 to 150 and more Kg/day
